We were founded by Louis Kuretzky in 1968 and operated from a single location in Warren, Michigan, as a wholesaler of countertops and stock kitchen bath cabinets. In 1971, Kurtis opened its first retail showroom in Detroit with the revolutionary concept of providing on-site inventory to service do-it-yourself clients and small contractors. Kurtis has since grown this business model to 4 locations in southeastern Michigan and a larger warehouse and distribution facility in Livonia.
